By downloading, installing, or using XCut (the "Service"), you ("User" or "you") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not accept these Terms, you may not access or use XCut.

XCut is a macOS application that provides shortcut information to menu commands across applications through a searchable interface. The software operates locally on your device and does not require an internet connection for core functionality.

2. License Grant and Restrictions

Beta Period

During the beta period, XCut is provided free of charge for testing and evaluation purposes. This beta license allows you to:

  • Install and use XCut on your personal Mac devices
  • Provide feedback and report issues
  • Evaluate the software for potential future purchase

Restrictions

You may not:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of XCut
  • Modify, adapt, alter, or create derivative works based on XCut
  • Distribute, sublicense, rent, lease, or sell XCut
  • Use XCut for any commercial purposes during the beta period
  • Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels

3. Privacy and Data Protection

XCut prioritizes user privacy with a local-first approach:

  • All menu processing and command execution happens locally on your Mac
  • We do not collect telemetry or usage analytics from your device
  • No menu contents, keystrokes, or personal information are transmitted to external servers

4. Communications and Consent

We may collect email addresses in the following contexts:

  • When you submit feedback to allow follow-up about reported issues
  • When you choose to provide an email at download to receive updates

You may withdraw consent at any time by using available unsubscribe mechanisms or contacting us. Providing an email at download is optional.
